New Union Tattoo Studio is now open Tuesday thru Saturday and will be closed Sunday and Monday except for appointments only.
There really is no art form quite like that of tattooing. The collector and the artist both share in the creation of the art. From the inspiration of an idea to the finished tattoo, both parties become part of the same piece of artwork.
TESTIMONIALS:
"Michael, I wanted to let you know how thankful I am that you are the artist who gave my daughter her first tattoo. You stayed at the shop while we went to get her paperwork notarized and even designed her tattoo while we were gone. It is a beautiful tattoo and the fact that it is custom makes it even more special. You really were very kind to us and just a great guy. It makes getting a tattoo a good experience. You said you were going to Wilmington and I would like to know where you will be working because at some point in time (when her other grandparents have passed away) my daughter would like the same tattoo on her other hip. I am sure you keep your work and even if you do not I am confident you can reproduce the rose. I am also interested in having you design something for myself. Anyway thank you so much for being who you are." Melanie B.
"Michael, Just wanted to let you know that I absolutely love my dragon, she was worth every single moment of the pain....thank you so much again, your such an amazing artist, truly." Catherine C.
"One of the luckiest days of my life, I walked into a well known yet random tattoo parlor looking and feeling out a new artist to do a large leg piece i have been dreaming of for years. i wanted a full leg sleeve and he had to work around two pieces i already had. this was a big step for me and obviously will last a life time being seen and hopefully adored daily the rest of my life. so i wanted someone GOOD. someone with imagination, enthusiasm, and talented. the moment i met Michael, i knew he was great. his constant smile comforts the nervousness of getting inked and his art told me he was the one. his art is his very own unique style and very very awesome. i spent 5 minutes explaining the mural of events i wanted going on in the leg piece and he knew in moments what he wanted to do. he requested no pictures, which i preferred because i wanted his style, which i was very impressed with just from his past art photos. i am 2 sessions away from my leg piece being complete and i have also made a great friend. he is ALWAYS up beat. always positive. and very picky on himself and his work. he is a perfectionist, as you will notice when he folds his paper towels perfectly square each time he gently wipes the soreness away with the cold green soap. he's got a light hand, not one to dig down to the bone. i am extremely happy that i wondered into his shop randomly. i will follow him wherever he may go. his work on my leg makes him a part of me forever and i cant think of any other id like to take that place. he's the best. great find for me when i was looking in the dark. Best wishes to you and yours." Sherri.
"Michael is a true artist who does tattooing. I had a Tattoo done by someone and the tattoo didnt come out at all like my design. The color in the back ground looked like a color wheel. I came to Michael to see if he could repair my tattoo. He not only blended the colors as they would be through a prism but also added shading and enhanced my tattoo. I am so happy with the work he has done I want to get another one before he leaves town." Lisa H.
"thank you so much for all the custom ink for the past two years, i am going to miss you, there are great artists out there and you are one of them, hope to stay in touch. maybe someday, will take trip up to carolina for another new tat, i truly hope for great success for you. you deserve it, thanks again for everything" Sally G.
"my mom and i both will miss you bunches!!! i've loved getting inked by you these past two years!!! you're such an amazing artist i just know you will succeed with whatever you do." Angela G.
"Mike is the best artist Ive ever been to. He is also the friendliest. Some artist can be a bit snooty and stuck-up about their art or their skills, but not Mike. He is friendly, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to and communicate with. He has excellent skills, both as a artist and in customer service. Tampa/St. Pete is loosing a real asset to the tattoo community. I know he will do well where ever he goes." Je Ann W.
"I got my first tattoo done by Micheal. He made me feel comforatble and let me know that there wasn't anything to be scared of. It wasn't very big so there was not a lot of interaction, but the time that we did get to talk, he showed that he was very personable. I will always be grateful to Michael because he popped my tattoo cherry and was really awesome. I have reccomended him to all my friends. I still will." Amy
"Damn dude, the tiger looks better in the picture then it does on my skin! I kept thinkin "I didn't notice that" and had to look back down at it and say "oh wooow". I'm really loving it. Can't wait to get some more work done!" Frank B.
"damn man i can not begin where to start on praise for your work bro, i cant believe this color is on skin and not on a canvas man. i really want to get in there again if you have another day. take care bro, and if u don't have time i will come to nc to do it. no one else is touching my skin...."
